RVS01 Venetian Galleass

The Galleass, with its 150 foot beam and 25 banks of oars per side was a Venetian invention. Built out of older merchant gallea grossa, the galleass was fitted a round forecastle on the front that held 6- 9 large guns with more guns on the sides and stern.

The Galleass was slow and not very maneuverable (They were towed into place at the battle of Lepanto) but more than made up for this by having 360 degree fire power and high defensive capabilities. In a sense, the Galleas was a floating fortress!

Our Skull and Crown 1/300th scale laser cut mahogany plywood Galleass model kit measures 150 mm long.

Each Galleass model comes with the following: Random flag/awning/trim set, crew and captain markers, fusta damage dice holder, smoke marker, furled or no sail yardarms, Open and closed arumbada (forecastle)
